INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
ADMISSION GUIDELINES
International Student applicants are nationals of a country other than the Philippines holding a foreign passport and who have been issued a valid Student Visa or Special Study Permit or Permanent Residency Visa by the appropriate Philippine agency. It also includes those who claim dual citizenship.
1. REQUIREMENTS

A student visa or special study permit is required before any international student can officially enroll and the documents to be submitted must be written in English or has an English translation.
| 1 | Written endorsement from the school for the conversion of applicant’s status to student on the school’s official stationary signed by the school’s Registrar and stamped with school’s official dry seal; | |
| 2 | Original Copy of the Notice of Acceptance (NOA) containing a clear impression of the school’s official dry seal; | |
| 3 | Original copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for Admission (CEA) issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY STUDENTS; | |
| 4 | Proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses; | |
| 5 | Scholastic records DULY AUTHENTICATED by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student’s country of origin or legal residence; | |
| 6 | Police Clearance Certificate issued by the National Police Authorities in the student’s country of origin or residence DULY AUTHENTICATED by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place for student who resided in the Philippines for less than 59 days. | |
| 7 | Quarantine Medical Clearance Certificate issued by the National Quarantine Office; | |
| 8 | Copy of the student’s Personal History Statement (PHS) (downloadable HERE) signed by the student with 2x2 –inch photograph recently taken; (BID Form) | |
| 9 | Xerox copy of the photo, data and stamp of the latest arrival pages of the passport of the student. The passport itself shall be presented to this Office and BID for verification. | |
| 10 | N.I.C.A. (National Intelligence Coordinating Agency) Clearance, R-303, Main Building NICA & DEROGATORY Section, BID Building. | |
| 11 | DULY NOTARIZED LETTER REQUEST from the applicant. | |
| 12 | DULY NOTARIZED GENERAL APPLICATION FORM accomplished by the applicant (BID Form No. MCL-07-0) | |
| 2. APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION PROCEDURE | ||
| 1 | Submit photocopies of the above authenticated documents (4-12) including the AUTHENTICATED COPY of the birth certificate to IEA office thru the Admission Officer. | |
| 2 | Interview by the IEA Executive Director or her representative. | |
| 3 | Pay the Foreign Student Admission/Processing fee at the Finance Office | |
| 4 | Applicants from non-English speaking country will take the English Assessment Test The result of the English Assessment Test is a requirement prior to enrollment. | |
| 5 | Take the Admission Tests at the Guidance Office. | |
| 6 | Verify result with the IEA Office. | |
| 7 | Applicants who made it will be issued the following letters.

| 8 | Apply for a student visa and Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) at the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation, Manila. | |
| 9 | The student may enroll upon submission of the student visa, ACR, documents 4-12, Birth Certificate and English Proficiency Certificate. | |
