The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) spearheaded by its President, Anthony Jose Moran Tamayo held a press conference last July 2, Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena lobby in Pasay City as it fires up its 94th season.
During the press conference, President Tamayo said he is expecting a more exciting Season 94 men’s basketball tournament.
“We’re expecting more intense games because all the teams seem to be at par with each other,” said Pres. Tamayo according to The Manila Times.
The current NCAA president expressed high hopes for this season, with the theme “Unparalleled Heights in Sports Development” will withstand the gains of the country’s oldest collegiate league.
The University of Perpetual Help System – DALTA will be hosting again this year, the fifth time since joining the NCAA in 1985. Also, with the success of last season’s The NCAA on Tour, in which the games are held in school-based gyms, will continue this year with 5 chosen home games.
“The University is very much excited and accepts the challenge of hosting Season 94,” said Tamayo, according to Rappler.
NCAA Season 94 will kick off this July 7 with the two-time reigning basketball champion, San Beda University taking on this season’s host, the University of Perpetual Help System – DALTA at 2:00PM. #30
