Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology
The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology program provides high quality instruction on Radiography, Radiation Therapy, and patient care. Through intensive research, clinical rotations in the university’s own tertiary teaching and training hospital, and hands-on practice with leading edge Radiologic Technology such as X-rays, CT scanners, MRIs, sonogram machines, and 3D medical imaging programs among other computer and web-based software programs, students master the skills on how to use medical imaging to diagnose patients, evaluate injuries, and recommend treatment options.
While performing these duties, students also learn how to maintain their own and their patient’s safety. They are trained on how to archive x-ray films and apply health laws related to medical imaging. Lastly, they are taught how to perform associated clerical duties, including scheduling and maintaining paperwork for office and clinical machinery.
