Welcome to the College of Arts & Sciences at University of Perpetual Help System DALTA. We are a community of students and faculty in 4 departments and programs, encompassing the mass communication, political sciences, biology and psychology.
Mission Statement
The College of Arts and Sciences commits itself to the integral development of an individual to enable him to effect changes in himself and his environment. Through critical thinking, effective communication, second judgment and formation of values he realizes the fullness of human life.
The general education component prepares the student for professional work in the humanities, communication arts or the social/natural sciences and/or further training beyond the baccalaureate degree.

The Department of Mass Communication recognizes the multidimensionality of human intelligence and aspires to form further media practitioner who is deeply rooted in religious faith, appreciative of the worth of each individual, creative, innovative, professionally competent, morally upright, Filipino in character and ideas as well as "a man for others."
AB Political Science
General Objectives
The Department to Social Sciences recognizes its roles in the realization of the mission of the University of the College of Arts and Sciences in training the youth to become productive and responsive future leaders.
The study of Political Science acquaints the students with noble ideas and principles embodied in the Constitution. It enables them to understand the meaning and value of the fundamental law to the lives and aspirations of men in the democratic society. It makes them aware of their rights as well as their duties to one another, to government and to the nation as a whole. Knowledge of the basic law of the land will also make our students develop greater respect for human rights, appreciate the government more and become aware of their role in nation building as responsible and productive citizens.

General Objectives
The Department of Biological Sciences recognizes its role in the realization of the mission of the University and the College of Arts and Sciences in training the youth to become productive and responsible citizens of the society.
The study of life sciences acquaints the students with theories, methods, concepts and principles of biology. The Department of Biology aims to develop professional biologist equipped with knowledge of the complex material world focusing on the dynamics among groups of living organisms and their relationships with the environment of which they are an integral part. Knowledge of the basic biological concepts will also enhance the students' ability to develop greater respect for life and made them aware of their role in maintaining a balance in the ecosystem for a sustainable living.

General Objectives
The Department of Psychology recognizes its role in the realization of the mission of the University and its College of Arts and Sciences in training the youth to become productive and responsive future leaders.
The Study of Psychology adds vertical dimension to the lives of students by deepening their knowledge of themselves and that of other people. It is a compelling field of study because it deals with topics that can be applied to everyday life. The educational, industrial as well as the clinical exposure the students undergo during their practicum or on-the-job training will prepare them to be effective workers in the helping profession.
