“Research at the Threshold of Quality Instruction, Novel Discoveries and Social Development through Linkages, Collaboration and Community Partnership”
The University envisions a strong research agenda which aims to forge a closer bondbetween the academe and the society at large, specifically with the business and industry sectors towards full and sustainable socio-economic development of the country in particular and the whole world in general. Parallel to this, is UPHSD’s mission and vision statement where research is an integral part of the university’s academic life.
Research forms part of the university’s fundamental functions alongside mentoring and community extension services. Through system-wide deliberation, the UPHSD Research Agenda for 2007 – 2012 was unanimously agreed as: “Research at the Threshold of Quality Instruction, Novel Discoveries and Social Development through Linkages, Collaboration and Community Partnership.”
