TEAM CLASSIFICATION:
*The tournament will be classified into 3(three) Age Division Class with corresponding number of teams allowed per Division.
22 – 35 Division – 10 Teams
36 – 45 Division – 10 Teams
46 UP Division – 10 Teams
*Each Division will be divided into two (2)groups/ brackets (A&B) with 5 teams in each groups or brackets.
*Draw-Lots or Spin the wheel app will be use to determine Team Brackets in all Division.
ELIMINATION ROUND
*Single-round robin in each group/bracket in all divisions.
TIE-BREAKER
*In case of two-way tie after elimination round, win over the other will be applied.
*In case of three or more terms tied after the elimination round, quotient system
will be applied. All games played between all teams with the same records will be
computed, wherein Team’s Total Scored Points to determine the Team Final
Quotient. Teams with the highest final quotient will enter the next round.
QUARTER FINAL ROUND
*Top 4 (four) team in each group/bracket in all division will qualify for the quarterfinal round knock-out match, with the Top 2 teams (number 1 and 2 respectively) will have a Twice-to-beat advantage over their respective opponent in each group. Wherein Number 1 vs. Number 4; Number 2 vs Number 3 in their respective groups/brackets in all divisions.
*5th place in each group/bracket in all divisions will be eliminated.
CROSS-OVER SEMI-FINAL ROUND
*Winners between Number 1 vs Number 4 in Group A will face the winner between
Number 2 vs Number 3 in Group B in a do-or-die sudden death match.
*Winners between Number 1 vs Number 4 in Group B will face the winner between
Number 2 vs Number 3 in Group A in a do-or-die death match.
*This will be applied in all 3 (three) Divisions.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
*Winners in both semis match will battle it out in a win or go home knock-out
finals.
TEAM COMPOSITION
*Each teams will be allowed to form 20 players but only 15 players
will be allowed to play in game prior. Teams must submit their active
15-man roster 2hours before their scheduled game.
PLAYERS ELIGIBILITY
*Must be legitimate alumni of Perpetual High School or College
*Not Graduate must provide or show a proof that they have been enrolled in Perpetual like School ID or Enrolment Certificate.
*2 (two) Valid ID’s to determine the Birthdate
* Each player should wear proper Team Uniforms

BASKETBALL GROUND RULES and GUIDELINES
I. THE COACH
- The COACH should be an employee of the UPHSD Alumini. He should set a
good example for the players and spectators, refrain from shouting at players
and officials, and, more than any other person, set the standard for the fans’
attitude. - The COACH is the team’s leader. He advises his players on the court and
arranges player substitutions. - The COACH should not argue with the game officials during the game or the
intervals of game. He should not act to incite spectators’ displeasure or to give
evidence of disagreement with the officials’ decisions. - Only the COACH is permitted to remain standing during the game.
Special Rule:
During timeout only, the Asst. coach may communicate with the referees within their team bench area in courteous manner while the Head Coach is making a huddle.
II. THE UNIFORMS
- All TEAMS should have their proper /complete uniforms.
- A PLAYER must be in his uniform during the game, with an identifying number on the back of his shirt. The number on the shirt must match the number on the playing shorts. The athletes’ surnames shall be indicated on the back of the shirt. The number of playing shorts and shirts is 0-99.
- A PLAYER using the wrong uniform, i.e., wrong number, design, and/or color, different from the rest of the team members shall not be allowed to play.
- Jewelry (bracelets, rings, earrings) should be removed before playing. Chewing gum while playing is not allowed. Protective eye gears are allowed.
III. THE PLAYER
- A PLAYER under the influence of liquor or drugs is not allowed to play.
- A PLAYER who is thrown out or rejected in the game shall be suspended for one game and should leave the confines of the playing area.
- A PLAYER / COACH disqualified due to a disqualifying foul, fighting, or the like will be automatically suspended.
The Technical Committee shall determine the number of game of suspensions based on the gravity of the act.
IV. TECHNICAL FOUL BY COACHES, ASST. COACHES AND TEAM OFFICIALS
- The COACH, asst. coach, and team officials must stay within their bench area.
A technical foul shall be charged on a coach if:
∙ If the COACH, asst. coaches and team officials attempts to influence the official’s decision;
∙ If the COACH, asst. coaches and team officials use profane or inappropriate language or obscene gestures.
∙ If the COACH, asst. coaches and team officials disrespectfully addressing or taunting an opponent.
Penalty:
The coach will be charged with a technical foul. The opponent will be awarded a free throw. The COACH / CAPTAIN will designate the free throw shooter.
Special Rule:
a. A player who committed an unsportsmanlike foul in the judgement of the referees for excessive and hard contact will be seated in 3-minute game clock rest.
b. The gravity of act may be upgraded into higher penalty and sanctions as recommended by the Technical Committee.
V. TIMING REGULATIONS
- The game shall consist of four periods, with 10 minutes each and 5 minutes for every extra period. The interval between periods is one (1) minute, while the interval between halves is three (3) minutes.
- The RULE OF SUCCESSION shall be strictly followed.
The team that fails to field-in five players after the fifteen-minute grace period following the end of a game or in a schedule shall forfeit the game. - Only a maximum of 15 members shall be allowed to sit on the bench area, of which 12 are players, a coach, an assistant coach, and a team manager who shall be registered in the team entry form. Team officials shall be responsible for implementing this rule.
- A team shall be composed of 12 players.
- No team official shall be allowed to sit on the bench wearing sandals, sleeveless shirts, walking shorts, caps, slippers, or sandals without socks and sling bags.
a. Smoking on the bench area is strictly prohibited.
b. No Delegation Officers who are not members of the coaching staff shall be
allowed to sit on the bench.
The following tactics by a player shall merit a technical foul:
a) Disrespectfully addressing or calling the attention of an official or gesturing in such a manner as to incite resentment.
b) Pointing a finger(s) in the direction of an official opponent.
c) Repeatedly ignoring the official’s request to tuck in his uniform.
d) Excessively swinging his arm(s) or elbow(s) even though there is no contact with an opponent.
VI. THE REFEREE
The referee’s decision is final. No protest on a judgment call shall be
considered.
VII. BOARD OF JURY
In case of complaints/protests, the Board of Jury will decide.
VIII. OFFICIATING OFFICIALS
The tournament shall be officiated by the official basketball referees of BACRA and duly recognized by the sponsoring group or management.

X. FIBA RULES SHALL BE APPLIED IN THE ABSENCE OF SPECIFIC RULES. ALL MISCONDUCT FORMS DURING THE COMPETITION SHALL BE SUBJECT TO SANCTION UNDER FIBA RULES AND TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES.
XI. The BOARD OF JURY has the rights to make amendments/addendums and explicit decisions on any of the above tournament rules and regulations, sanctions and penalty(s) to ensure good sportsmanship and protection of integrity throughout the tournament.
