Doctor of Dental Medicine

The College of Dental Medicine offers a six-year program leading to a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). The curriculum includes two years of Pre-Dentistry (Associate in Health Science Education) consisting of general education and several health-related subjects. This is followed by a four-year Dentistry Proper curriculum with the first two years covering basic medical and dental courses and the last two years consisting of clinical training.

 

Combined with a highly structured curriculum that meets the needs of today’s dental profession, a Perpetualite dental education underscores early exposure to patients providing a smooth transition from classrooms and laboratories to clinics. As they assimilate new skills they practice them in the clinic, assisted and supervised by competent and committed faculty. The last two years of education is generally focused on patient care.
