On October 15, 2025 the Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Dasmariñas (KLD) visited the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) for a meeting held at the Moot Court, Las Piñas Campus, to express their interest in conducting a benchmarking activity on the university’s Bilibid Community Extension Program. The visit highlighted KLD’s aim to learn from UPHSD’s best practices in implementing meaningful and sustainable community outreach programs.
The benchmarking initiative seeks to understand the framework, coordination, and impact of UPHSD’s extension efforts within the New Bilibid Prison, which provide educational, livelihood, and rehabilitation opportunities for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). Through this engagement, KLD hopes to strengthen its own community extension programs and align its initiatives with effective models of social responsibility and human development.
UPHSD, recognized for its commitment to service and transformative education, welcomed the benchmarking interest of KLD as part of its advocacy to share knowledge and foster collaboration among higher education institutions. The activity underscored both institutions’ shared mission of advancing inclusive education, social engagement, and nation-building.
