Cathay Pacific and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA , Virtual Meeting on Academic and Industry Collaboration

On September 3, 2025, a virtual meeting was held via Zoom between the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) and Cathay Pacific, Hongkong to explore potential partnership opportunities. Representing Cathay Pacific was Ms. Sherlie Taguiam, Account Manager – Corporate. From UPHSD, the meeting was attended by Dr. Lourdes Mendoza, Program Chairperson of College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM), Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Flores, Director of Institutional Linkages, and Ms. Jenny S. Maluping, Linkages Administrative Assistant. The discussion centered on possible areas of collaboration, particularly in the fields of internship placements, academic linkages, and student development programs. Both parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening ties that would provide students with global exposure and industry-relevant experiences. On August 28, 2025, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Gareth Fernandez, Enterprise Sales of LinkedIn, at the School Director’s Office. Mr. Fernandez presented LinkedIn’s initiatives to expand the platform’s use not only for teachers and staff but also for students, making professional networking and career development more accessible to the entire academic community. He also introduced the availability of short courses with certifications, designed to strengthen skills, enhance employability, and open new opportunities for both students and professionals. The meeting was attended by Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Dialogue: Educators’ Responsibilities for Rogationist College -Silang Cavite

August 22, 2025 – Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Flores visited Rogationist College – Silang, Cavite to deliver an insightful talk on “Commitment and Proper Conduct in the Workplace,” an event that seamlessly blended character building and vocation promotion. The session aimed to guide students and educators in understanding the values and work ethics essential for professional growth and personal development. During the talk, Dr. Flores emphasized the importance of integrity, dedication, and responsibility in one’s chosen career. As part of the “Dialogue: Educators’ Responsibilities” segment, he highlighted the crucial role teachers play not only as knowledge providers but also as role models who shape the character and aspirations of their students. Marketing Vanguard in Cultural Diversity: A Cross-Cultural Experience in Providence University, Taiwan

On August 21–30, 2025, selected Basic Education students participated in the “Marketing Vanguard in Cultural Diversity: Cross-Cultural Communication and Strategies” program held at Providence University, Taiwan. The program served as an avenue for young learners to gain firsthand exposure to international academic and cultural experiences. Through a series of lectures, workshops, and collaborative activities, the students explored concepts of cross-cultural communication, marketing strategies in diverse environments, and global citizenship. Beyond classroom discussions, the participants also engaged in cultural immersion activities where they were able to interact with Taiwanese peers, appreciate the local traditions, and exchange perspectives on education and youth leadership. This meaningful experience enhanced their confidence, broadened their worldview, and strengthened their adaptability in multicultural settings. The visit to Providence University not only enriched the students’ academic knowledge but also instilled in them the values of diversity, respect, and collaboration—skills essential for navigating an increasingly interconnected world.
