data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The\u00a0<strong>Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP)<\/strong>\u00a0is in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act Numbers 7722 and 10647, Executive Order 330 and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order 29, series of 2021.<\/p><p>It aims to grant equivalency credits and\/or appropriate academic degrees to qualified individuals who have acquired relevant body of work and life experiences or high level, formal learning, non-formal education\/learning and informal education.<\/p><ul><li>Formal learning refers to the hierarchically structured and chronologically graded learning organized and provided by the formal school system and for which certification is required in order for the learner to progress through the grades or move to higher levels.<\/li><li>Informal education refers to non-structured and non-directed learning obtained from experiences at home, place of work, community, civil society, the church, mass media and other incidental sources.<\/li><li>Non-formal education refers to any structured short-term learning program usually for supplementing basic education and training and offered for learning very specific concepts or skills.<\/li><li>Non-formal learning is intentional and gained by the individual through<br \/>participation in organized workplace-based training, non-credit courses and workshops the completion of which does not lead to receiving formal The meeting was held at the Conference Room of the Linkages Department. The OpenLearning delegation was composed of Adam Brimo, Founder and CEO of OpenLearning; Mark Abelard A. Bautista, Inside Sales Representative of OpenLearning; and Abraham Lorica Jr., Sales Manager of OpenLearning. During the meeting, the OpenLearning team presented its interest in collaborating with UPHSD through the use of its AI-powered Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning solutions. The proposed collaboration may include the development and delivery of online and blended learning programs, creation of interactive and outcome-based courses, and utilization of AI-assisted tools for course development, learning activities, and assessment. OpenLearning also presented opportunities for UPHSD to develop micro-credential programs, digital badges, and certificates that may support lifelong learning, professional development, and skills enhancement. Representing UPHSD were Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Flores, Director, Planning, Linkages, ETEEAP, and CPD; Dr. Emerlyn E. Managuas, Dean, College of Education and College of Arts and Science; Mr. Antoni Orcales, Information Technology Services; Ms. Ma. Imelda O. Javier, Dean, College of Nursing; and Ms. Rianne Anjela R. Sierra, Linkages and ETEEAP Officer. The discussion provided an opportunity for the University representatives to explore how OpenLearning\u2019s platform could complement UPHSD\u2019s existing academic and digital learning initiatives, particularly in expanding online learning opportunities and developing short, skills-based learning programs. OpenLearning\u2019s platform also supports course authoring, learning analytics, student engagement, portfolios, certification, and micro-credentialing. The proposed collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 \u2013 Quality Education, particularly through the promotion of accessible, innovative, technology-enabled, and lifelong learning opportunities. It also supports SDG 17 \u2013 Partnerships for the Goals, as the meeting focused on establishing potential institutional collaboration between UPHSD and OpenLearning.
