The Summer Creativity Enhancement for Children was initiated by the DALTA-JONELTA Foundation, Inc. (DJFI) headed by Dr. Ma. Consuelo C. Reyes, Executive Director\/MAEQ in partnership with the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Community Extension Services (UPHSD-CES) headed by Dr. Josephine P. Dasig.<\/p>

The Summer Creativity Enhancement for Children is designed for the 3 to 6 years old kids of SAMABIDA, Inc. at Guijo Compd, Manuela IV-B Subd., Pamplona 3, Las Pi\u00f1as City.<\/p>

The project is an annual series of activities every summer from April 2023 to May 2023, starting from 1:00pm to 3:30pm held at NCB Rm. 124.<\/p>

The first series of activities entitled “Scrapbook Making” sponsored by the CES Coordinating Council (CCC) was facilitated by Ms. Dorothy Capital, BS Elementary Education student and Secretary of the CES Coordinating Council.\u00a0 She was assisted by Ms. Michel Dabu, Community Social Worker and Ms. Ma. Socorro Virata, Community Representative, both from the DALTA-JONELTA Foundation, Inc. and the\u00a0parent chaperone namely: Letty A. Mana-ay and Rosemarie Cabanela.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The first activity is scrapbooking.\u00a0 Scrapbooking is a craft activity using a blank book. The children can add anything of sentimental value, including photos, letters, memories and embellishments in the blank book.\u00a0 They can also draw animals, plants or even family members.<\/p>

Nursery school scrapbooks are a great way for children to express their creativity. It is also a great way to let a child’s imagination run wild. Arranging and choosing memorable photos will help them plan things creatively. This will also help them to make decisions for themselves.<\/p>

The most basic scrapbooking materials are bond paper or coloured bond, cardstock, scissors or trimmers, pens, adhesives (glue, foam or washi tape), embellishments such as stickers and ephemera, and photos.\u00a0<\/p>

The children were very excited on their first day, amazed by what they saw and eager to learn new things.<\/p>

They listened to Ms. Capital, their student teacher, tell them what they were going to do.<\/p>

The parent chaperones and people from Jonelta were also excited to help the children with their scrapbook.<\/p>

The children were able to draw the objects they thought were easy and compare them. Some of them drew their favourite animals, the house, among other things.<\/p>

After the allotted time, they raised their hands and showed their finished works with Ma’am Capital.<\/p>

The 14 beneficiaries were given snacks after the activity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
