On December 15, 2023 was the repacking of the goods to be brought to the Bilibid Extension School. The repacking was done by the following volunteers, namely: Dr. Victoria Mendoza, Dean, College of Pharmacy; Dr. Chona Cabatay, Dean, College of Radiologic Technology; C/E Ferdinand Villamil, Dean, College of Maritime Education; Maria Loida S. Benosa, Program Assistant, Community Extension Services; Raineer Camposanto, SO/Consultant and Camille Tubo, Admin. Asst., Safety and Health Office; Katherine Anne S. Yu, Secretary and Maria Jonathan C. Zamuco, Laboratory Custodian, both of the College of Criminology; Florecel Esguerra, Secretary, College of Dentistry; Maridette Chan, Secretary, College of Rad. Tech. and Pharmacy.
Another group were student volunteers, namely Guilliano S. Aboloc, President; Leonick Best M. Magmanlac; Exequel Ace O. Raquion; and Marson L. Rosarito from the College of Criminology; Kian Roy Sampang, Lester Amboy,
Kate Alvior and Mark Andrie Romano from the College of Maritime Education; Mohamad Khalil Jamal Mohamad, Daniella Ronquillo and Raine Ann Montañez from the College of Dentistry; Janella Therese Orcine, President and Dorothy Capital, Secretary of the CES Coordinating Council (CCC).
Part 2 of community sharing is gift-giving. The Community Extension Services (CES) conducted the gift-giving on December 18, 2023 from 8:00am to 2:00pm at the Medium Security Compound, New Bilibid Prison, Muntinlupa City.
There were parlor games facilitated by the CES Coordinating Council headed by Ms. Janella Therese U. Orcine, President and Ms. Dorothy I. Capital, Secretary and also the Game Master. The games were full of fun, laughter and happiness.
The Community Extension Services distributed 350 Noche Buena Packages to the Persons Deprived of Liberty students.
During the distribution, the College of Maritime Education led by C/E Ferdinand Villamil, Dean and Capt. Elezar Gaton, faculty member, handed over the food to the persons deprived of liberty students. Followed by Jocelyn Fernando and Jean Magalong, faculty members, and Julienne Ross P. Dasig, and Jasmine Ross P. Dasig, alumni of the Elementary Department. Engr. Alvin Santos also presented the gift package to one of the PDL students. Loida Benosa, Program Assistant of Community Extension Services (CES) and President of the Employees Welfare Association also handed over the gift packs to one of the PDL students. Alvin Simon and Andrew Liwanag, Security guards and the CES Coordinating Council (CCC) distributed the food packages to our inmate students.
The whole activity is very fulfilling, full of joy and laughter.
The Persons Deprived of Liberty students were extremely grateful and delighted for the support of the mother school especially Dr. Anthony Jose M. Tamayo, President, Dr. Arnaldo S. De Guzman, School Director, and Dr. Josephine P. Dasig, Head of the Community Extension Services. This activity inspired the Perpetualites to do more outreach programs and to be truly HELPERS OF GOD.
