One of the celebrations of the University Week is the Pasko sa Pebrero, an annual activity for the partner communities of the institution. This year, the celebration was on February 17, 2023, various colleges participated in this activity, namely: College of Law, Computer Studies, Maritime Education, Education, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Junior High School, and Senior High School. Each college conducted seminars prior to the Mickey Mouse exchange of goods, gently used clothing and other items.
The College of Respiratory Therapy conducted the seminar titled “Baga ay Alagaan, TB ay Iwasan”. It was attended by the residents of Guijo Compound, SAMABIDA, Inc., Pamplona 3, Las Piñas City.
Speakers of this seminar are Ms. Noreen Simbol, Alumna and Mr. Ronnie Cajigal, CES Coordinator and Faculty Member of the College of Respiratory Therapy. There were seven (7) student volunteers, namely Joshua Alegre, Blessie Indonilla, Alliah Villanueva, Ashareen Hassan, Mariel Paras, Evanne de Yro, and Sofia Gamboa.
“Baga ay Alagaan, TB ay Iwasan” focused on how to protect our lungs, how to keep our lungs healthy, and some tips to stay healthy from patients with respiratory diseases.
