Collaboration Events

On June 7, 2025, the Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS) – UPHSD Las Piñas Chapter proudly partnered with PUP-ASCII as game creators for the event IQ League. This milestone marked JPCS’s first-ever collaboration with an external student organization from another campus, symbolizing a breakthrough in building connections beyond UPHSD. The partnership not only highlighted the creativity and technical expertise of CCS students but also reflected their commitment to collaboration and innovation. The event showcased the value of teamwork across institutions, where students combined their knowledge and skills to create meaningful and engaging outputs. For CCS student participants, this collaboration became more than just a project, it was an opportunity to expand their horizons, share best practices, and strengthen camaraderie with peers from another university. It also opened doors for new learning experiences and potential partnerships that can further enhance their academic and professional growth. This initiative is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. 12Tth TEST OF PRACTICAL COMPETENCY IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (TOPCIT) EXAMINATIONS FOR HEIs IN THE PHILIPPINES

On June 2, 2025, the 12th TOPCIT examination was successfully conducted online, with participation from various universities across the Philippines. The assessment provided an opportunity for students, including those from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, College of Computer Studies, to evaluate their strengths and areas for improvement in relation to industry-required IT skills. This initiative reflects a strong commitment to preparing learners for the challenges and opportunities of the digital era. By aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, the TOPCIT exam ensures that students gain equal access to quality digital competency development. Kwarto-Kwento- Theater Arts Presentation

Third-year AB Communication students brought stories to life through their original theatrical production “Kwarto-Kwento,” staged on May 22, 2025, at Rooms 315 and 316 of the New College Building. Presented as a culminating requirement for their Introduction to Theater course, the production highlighted the students’ creativity, collaboration, and emerging mastery of stage performance. Rooted in the spirit of storytelling and theatrical discipline, “Kwarto-Kwento” reflected their ability to translate emotion and narrative into live expression—marking a meaningful milestone in their academic and artistic journey.

ALTA Media Icon Awards Voting Launch

The ALTA Media Icon Awards (AMIA) voting launch took place on May 14, 2025, at the New College Building Lobby, spearheaded by third-year Communication students under the guidance of AB Communication Chairperson Ms. Rowena G. Morta. The event energized the campus with vibrant student participation and a strong sense of media pride, spotlighting excellence in communication and creative work produced by and for the university community. After a five-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AMIA finally made its much-anticipated comeback. Its return was made even more significant as it coincided with the 50th Founding Anniversary of the University, making the revival a highlight of the year-long celebration. To heighten the excitement, the first 100 voters received limited-edition AMIA pins, turning the launch into more than just a voting event—it became a celebration of shared identity, unity, and pride for the KAMASKOM community. The energy, symbolism, and participation reflected the students’ unwavering passion for media and their commitment to recognizing outstanding communicators who inspire and lead through storytelling.
