The volunteers participated in these activities namely: gift giving, happy feet, feeding, parlor games and installation of 2 solar panels in Sitio Buktot.

The students and parents of UPH-Mindoro Mission School were all invited.  They were given a bag with personal items such as underwear, towel, toiletries, candies, and pack of biscuits. Each was also given a pair of slippers, and served with arroz caldo and juice.  Meanwhile, the parents of Sitio Buktot, Sitio

Lawaan and Sitio Sigmaan were given a pail of groceries, rice, detergent soap, toiletries, plates, pitcher, basic medicines such as paracetamol and mefenamic acid, and a blanket.  In total, there were150 families who were received the early Christmas gifts.

The children were also very happy with what they had received.  They really enjoyed the parlour games and the prizes.  Some of the parents also took part in the games competitively.

The UPHSD team led by Dr Josephine P. Dasig, Head of Community Extension Services, was also overwhelmed by the appreciation of the Mangyan

people and some Tagalog residents for the blessings they received. It was a fulfilling and exciting event for all of us. It made up for the hardships of repacking and the preparation of the whole event.

This is another milestone for the Employees Welfare Association/Non-Teaching Personnel, and the participating colleges to give and share their blessings and love to our less fortunate brothers and sisters.  Indeed, Perpetualites are a true HELPERS OF GOD.
