The Community Extension Services Coordinating Council (CCC) and the Supreme Student Council (SSC) spearheaded the activity entitled “Undas Ayuda: Perpetualites for Typhoon Paeng Affected Communities 2022”, a donation drive that aims to collect ready-to-eat food items such as canned goods, noodles, rice, bottled water, hygiene products, and medical kits from all Perpetualites. The goods were distributed to the communities severely affected by Typhoon Paeng. This activity was held on November 10, 2022.
The goals of this activity are
- To raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Paeng.
- To collect the donated goods.
- To prepare the donated goods for distribution.
- To distribute the supplies to our brothers and sisters.
- To encourage more citizens to volunteer during disasters.
The repacking of goods was led by the SSC and CCC together with the faculty and students of the College of Radiologic Technology.
The distribution began with a prayer led by Dr. Josephine P. Dasig, Head of the Community Extension Services, Dr. Arnaldo S. De Guzman, School Principal, and Dr. Senen Lagonilla, Head of the University Clinic and staff were also presented in the event.
The recipients of the Undas Ayuda were the non-teaching personnel of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA – Las Piñas Campus who were affected by Typhoon Paeng.
A total of 87 recipients from various department were able to receive the food packs.
