On September 24, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing was held at the Linkages Office of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD). The activity aimed to establish academic collaboration and strengthen international partnerships between UPHSD and Mandy Dental College and Hospital, Bangladesh.
The MOU signing was attended by Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Flores, Director of Linkages, representing UPHSD, together with Dr. Eric Alforja, Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Dr. Bryan Esporlas, Faculty of the College of Dentistry. Representing Mandy Dental College and Hospital were Prof. Dr. Salahuddin Al Azad, Principal, and his representative.
The partnership provides an opportunity for both institutions to explore areas of collaboration, particularly in academic exchange, knowledge sharing, professional development, and other initiatives related to dental education and training. The signing also serves as a step toward strengthening international linkages and fostering cooperation between higher education institutions in the Philippines and Bangladesh.
The collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – Quality Education, as it promotes opportunities for academic cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the enhancement of educational practices in dental education. It also supports SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, as the MOU establishes an institutional partnership that can facilitate future collaborative programs and initiatives between the two institutions.
