Activity: Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help- UPHSD Chapter Member meeting

On September 21, 2026, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) conducted the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, in collaboration with the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help of the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help (Baclaran Church). The activity was held at Room 124 and aimed to provide students with an opportunity for spiritual formation, reflection, and strengthening of their connection with the values and mission of the Perpetual Help community.

The activity was attended by 57 students, composed of Junior High School, Senior High School, and College students. The session was led by Dr. Arnaldo S. De Guzman, School Director, who served as the speaker and shared insights relevant to the spiritual and personal development of the students.

Also present during the activity were Fr. Arthur James Paciente, University Chaplain; Dr. Gabriel Archemedez Y. Flores, Director of Linkages; Ms. Rianne Anjela Sierra, Linkages Officer; Ms. Ronavee Divine R. Alagano, Planning Officer; and Ms. Jenny S. Maluping, Linkages Administrative Assistant. Faculty representatives also participated, namely Mr. Ralph George Kalinisan, Faculty of Senior High School; Ms. Ariane Andaya, Faculty of Senior High School; Ms. Julianne Mikka V. Zalamea, Faculty of Junior Business High School.

Representatives from the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help of Baclaran Church were also present, including Ms. Louella Vizcarra, Ms. Lorelei Manuel, and Ms. Maila Sapinit. Their participation strengthened the collaboration between UPHSD and the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in promoting spiritual formation and community engagement among students.

The activity contributed to the holistic development of the students by providing a venue for spiritual reflection, values formation, fellowship, and community building. It also strengthened the partnership between UPHSD and the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help of Baclaran Church in supporting activities that promote the well-being and formation of the academic community.

The activity is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – Quality Education, particularly in promoting holistic and inclusive learning opportunities that go beyond academic instruction and support the students’ values, character, and personal development. It also supports SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, as the activity was conducted through collaboration between UPHSD and the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help of the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help (Baclaran Church), demonstrating the role of institutional partnerships in supporting student development and community engagement.
