CINEMASKOM 2025 brought three days of compelling storytelling to life, with student-produced film screenings held from May 13 to 15 at Room 124 of the New College Building. For just PHP 40, audiences were treated to seven original short films that showcased a range of creative narratives, genres, and student perspectives—culminating in a full-house final day of screenings.
The celebration concluded with the highly anticipated CINEMASKOM Awards Night on May 26 at the Ernesto Palanca Crisostomo Hall. The standout film Through the Eyes of Athena by Paola P. Rigor of Memento Productions was awarded Best Picture, earning top honors among a field of strong contenders.
In line with the year’s theme Gold / Ginto, the awards night celebrated cinematic excellence and golden storytelling. The evening was graced by special guests including Ms. Rowena G. Morta, Ms. Konie Rivera, and Mr. Edzel Rebamontan—a proud Mass Communication alumnus—making it a night of elegance, recognition, and pride for the KAMASKOM community.
