Activity: Benchmarking Visit on AUN-QA at the University of Mindanao
On June 23, 2026, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA conducted a benchmarking visit to the University of Mindanao as part of its commitment to advancing quality assurance academic excellence and engaging with SDG17, partnership for the goals. The activity aimed to gain valuable insights into the institution’s implementation of the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) framework and its best practices in quality assurance.
The UPHSD delegation was composed of Dr. Loureli C. Siy, Executive Director of the DALTA Executive Academic, Accreditation and Audit Center; Dr. Perlita C. Custodio, Assistant Director of the DALTA Executive Academic, Accreditation and Audit Center; Ms. Ma. Imendal O. Javier, Dean of the College of Nursing; Dr. Emerlyn E. Managuas, Dean of the College of Education and College of Arts and Sciences; Dr. Jenniline Eya, Dean of the College of Computer Studies; Engr. Lorena C. Illagan, Dean of the College of Engineering; and Dr. Evelyn Antiporda, Dean of the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management.
During the benchmarking visit, the delegation engaged in productive discussions with the officials of the University of Mindanao regarding the institution’s experiences, strategies, and best practices in implementing the AUN-QA framework. The exchange of knowledge focused on quality assurance processes, program assessment, curriculum enhancement, stakeholder engagement, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. The insights gained from the activity are expected to contribute significantly to the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its quality assurance systems and prepare its academic programs for future AUN-QA assessments, further reinforcing its commitment to delivering quality education that meets regional and international standards.
