Junior ALTAS exits NCAA 95 F4 with Pride The University of Perpetual Help Junior ALTAS ends their Season 95 journey with a win against the San Sebastian College – Recoletos Golden Staglets, 81-78, last October 18, 2019 at the Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

The ever reliable Yuki Kawamura leading the game with 21points on his last game of the season while Sherwin Orgo and Kyle Cuevas contributed with 13 and 12 points respectively.

This game is the Junior ALTAS’ last game of the NCAA Season 95.

RECOGNIZED IN PERPETUAL’S ALTA MEDIA AWARDS

Now on its 5th year, the ALTA Media Icon Awards of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) will once again recognize outstanding individuals, programs, and institutions in the field of mass media on October 17, 2019 at the Ernesto Palanca Crisostomo Hall, UPHSD Las Piñas Campus. The ALTA Media Icon Awards is a Student’s Choice award-giving body that aims to honor outstanding media programs, personalities, and organizations that have contributed to the country’s social development and promoted Filipino values anchored on the Perpetualite philosophy of “Character Building is Nation Building”. Top billing this year’s roster of winners are Iconic Awardees Gary Valenciano (Music), Christopher De Leon (Film and Television), and Rey Langit (Broadcasting), as well as Hall of Famers Jessica Soho (Best Magazine Show Host for Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho), Kim Atienza (Best Educational Program Host for Matanglawin), Pilipino Star Ngayon (Best Tabloid), Umagang Kay Ganda (Best Morning Show), ASAP (Best Musical Variety Show), Maalaala Mo Kaya (Best Drama Anthology) and ChrisTuper -Tambalan, 90.7 Love Radio (Best FM Radio Male Personality). With the theme “PerpetualLive: The Modern Youth and the Media On Cue Towards an Active Role in National Development” awards will be given to the winners in different media categories such as television, radio, print, film, social media, and recording. A separate screening committee comprised of esteemed administrators and educators judged the nominees for the Iconic Awardees.

Altas Girls Team will represent NCR South in 3×3 National Finals on October 28-30 in Robinson’s Place Manila in Ermita.

Junior ALTAS ends round 2 drought against Squires

 

he University of Perpetual Help Junior ALTAS wins second game of the second round and ends the drought, 81-77, in expense of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Squires October 11, 2019 at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

Yuki Kawamura led the Junior ALTAS with 20 points, with the assistance of Angelo Gelsano’s double-double 16 points and 12 rebounds performance to escape the Squires.

ALTAS wins back-to-back!

 

San Juan City – The University of Perpetual Help ALTAS has won their back-to-back games for the second round of the NCAA Season 95 Basketball Tournament, 77-66, against the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers yesterday, October 8, at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

Tonton Peralta recorded a 25-point career-high along with 9 rebounds to help ALTAS seal the win. With the early ejection of Kim Aurin, Edgar Charcos and Ben Adamos contributed with 13 points, nine assists, and five steals and 11 points and 12 boards respectively.

The win gives the ALTAS a 5-10 record.

ALTAS ends round 2 losing streak!

 

University of Perpetual Help ALTAS stops their round 2 losing streak in expense of the De La Salle – College of St. Benilde, 85-83, today at the Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

A double-double performance by Kim Aurin (29 points and 11 rebounds) helped the ALTAS escape the neck and neck match with the Blazers. A bloodied collision didn’t stop Aurin to come back and finish the game.

With the help of Jielo Razon and Rey Peralta with 15 and 11 points, the ALTAS ends the draught by having their first win of the second round.

ALTAS kept their final 4 hopes alive with this win.
