Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd)

The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd) is an undergraduate degree program which specializes in special needs education. It prepares teachers who will instruct and manage students with additional needs in inclusive and segregated educational settings.  Its graduates will be equipped to teach the basic education curriculum and alternate curricula depending on the needs of the students.  Those who will teach in the elementary level will be trained across different subject areas.  Those who will teach in the secondary level will provide educational support to students with additional needs in inclusive classrooms or provide educational services to students who may be enrolled in special education centers.

A graduate of this degree program should be able to teach in regular and special education schools as a teacher provided that he/she passes the Licensure Examination for Teachers in his/her subject area of specialization.

Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd)

The BPEd is a four-year program aimed at equipping graduates with the competencies to meet the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective needs of learners.

These consist of  1) a strong and substantial foundation of the subject matter (disciplinary knowledge) that informs their curricular choices when planning, designing, implementing and assessing learning activities  (curriculum and program planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation); 2) an understanding of the scope and sequence of various movement forms, as well as, elements strategies, and tactics of these various movements in a multitude of settings (movement competency and proficiency) that enables them to meet the needs of learners to know how, be able to do, and how to learn; 3) expert knowledge of pedagogy for maximizing student engagement, mentoring students, and modeling respect for differences in gender, ability, and culture; 4) reflective practice that propels them to set high standards for and hold themselves accountable to the professional standards (professional accountability and responsibility), enables them to identify gaps in their current competencies and pursue professional development opportunities; and 5) building and cultivating relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and other professionals and learning communities; advocating for P.E.; being role models of integrity and professional excellence, as well as leaders in the service of education.

Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (BECEd)

BECEd is a four-year program that provides students with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of early childhood, care, and education, as well as, experiences in the application of these principles.  It aims to educate individuals to be competent early childhood practitioners working with children from 0-8 years old in various early childhood settings (home, community, school, and workplace).  It is aligned with the National Early Learning Framework (NELF), the National Competency Based Teacher Standards (NCBTS 2017), Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST), and the first key stage which is K to 3.

Teacher Certificate Program

The Teacher Certificate Program  is a 30-unit certificate program that provides a sound theoretical foundation and experiential learning on professional education which are required by the Commission on Higher Education and Professional Regulations Commission.  It is a one-year program specially designed for non-education professionals and industry practitioners who desire to pursue a teaching career and become Licensed Professional Teachers  through the Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET).  The program is comprised of the following courses: Child and Adolescent Development, Principles of Teaching, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, Assessment in Student Learning, Teaching Profession, Experiential Learning Courses (field Study 1-6), and Practice Teaching.

At the end of the program, graduates are expected to develop their competencies on syllabus design, instructional materials development, curriculum planning, effective  instructional delivery, classroom management, and assessment. After completion of the program, graduates will  be awarded Certificate of Completion, Diploma, and Transcript of Records.

Bachelor of Secondary Education

The BSEd, with specialization in English, Filipino, Mathematics, Sciences, and Social Studies, is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization/major in the secondary level. It aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education.

After successful completion of all academic requirements for the degree/program, graduates of BSED should be able to practice the teaching profession in the secondary level.
